It’s moe-yuri at its finest.
I haven’t watched any yuri anime for such a long time, I don’t even remember the last one I saw. Strawberry Panic, probably. So I figured I should re-fuel my guilty pleasure with this–surprise, surprise–Studio DEEN production: Sakura Trick.
Running at half a season, Sakura Trick is, simply put, yuri that is moe. That’s it. No premise. No engaging story line. No deep drama and whatnot. It is cute and it is yuri. It doesn’t even try to mask that fact and pretend otherwise. It is a no-brainer and exists simply to feed your need for something cute and fluffy. If K-On! was yuri, this would be it.
Every episode is packed with fluff you’d die if you can’t handle too much cuteness. It’s a very light watch–perfect for a lazy day or when you’re down in the dumps.
Sakura Trick is moe. And it is yuri. And that is all you need to know.
