really?

Since the dormitory atmosphere is about to drive me nuts, I decided to go home last Friday. I packed my stuff — readings, novels and Ben — and rode a bus. I arrived at around 6.30 or so. Upon my arrival, this is the scene that ensued:

Okaa-san: O Ate. Uuwi ka pala. Akala ko bukas pa. (I didn’t know you were coming home. I thought you were coming tomorrow.)

Me: Katamad sa dorm e. (It’s boring in the dormitory.)

Okaa-san: Parang pumayat ka ‘te ah. (You look like you lost some weight.)

I proceed to our bedroom. My sister is there.

Petite soeur: Ate, parang tumangkad ka. (Onee-chan, you look taller.)

I proceed to change my clothes.

Losing weight + gaining some inches = delayed effects of puberty? Nah, I think it’s just the effects of prolonged stress.

I should get stressed more!
